On June 16th we welcomed buyers, agents and clients to our Summer Showcase, a day designed to bring both Ministry of Sound and The Ministry to life. This year we took our inspiration from carnival, filling the venues with colour, music and movement to show just how far the spaces can go.
The experience began in the courtyard at Ministry of Sound where the carnival atmosphere was immediate. A DJ, steel pans and dancers created a soundscape that set the tone for the afternoon, while guests arrived to cocktails and a spread of food that nodded to the theme, think jerk sliders, spiced corn and bold flavours served street-food style. With goodie bags in hand, everyone was ready to explore.
Tours took guests through every corner of the club, each space styled to demonstrate a different type of event. The Box was split between a theatre set-up and a dinner layout, showing how the room can turn from a conference setting into a banquet space. The Loft, softened with furnishings, became a lounge. The Baby Box transformed into an arena for Ministry of Sound Games with rows of spin bikes, and in 103 the focus was on receptions, with poseur tables and the new lighting rig creating a dramatic showcase of what’s possible.
From there, the energy carried across to The Ministry. In the White Space, guests were introduced to our brand-new 211-inch 4K LED screen, shown in theatre layout to highlight its impact for conferences and screenings. The rest of the building opened up room by room, each space styled to show its potential, before the tour wrapped up with canapés and a final shot to close the day on a high.
The Showcase wasn’t simply about decoration. By leaning into the carnival theme, we were able to give guests a real sense of atmosphere, spaces filled with sound, colour and movement, with each element working together to spark ideas of what their own events could look like. It was an evening that moved beyond the blank canvas and into something more memorable: a day that showed the venues as they’re meant to be experienced.
