Membership Sales Manager

We are looking for an exceptional, detail-obsessed Membership Sales Manager to join our dedicated and talented sales team here at Borough Road.

You will spearhead our sales efforts across our membership offerings, including Hot Desk, Club membership (our off-peak offering) and corporate packages. Your goal will be to achieve targets through proactive outreach and strategic engagement, with the ability to construct your own pipeline through business development initiatives, as well as manage and close inbound enquiries.

You are responsible for leading outreach and follow-up efforts and ensuring the internal CRM system is maintained and kept up to date. You will utilise social media, including LinkedIn and other outreach channels to drive engagement and build awareness of our offering to larger corporate outfits and local businesses.

As one of the prime brand advocates and faces of our business, you will represent the brand at internal and external events, actively searching for new business opportunities. You will be confident on viewings with prospective members and clients, as well as being able to introduce and pitch The Ministry at events.

Within The Ministry, you will work closely with the Event Programming and Partnerships Manager to explore membership opportunities through external and promoter-led events and develop a retention strategy in time for membership renewals.

Additionally, you will liaise with Community Managers to ensure a smooth on-boarding process, generate agreements, manage the contractual process, and ensure existing members are satisfied, maintaining a consistent end-to-end experience.

You’ll have previous experience in sales, ideally focused on memberships and corporate packages. You’ll be able to do a variety of routine administrative tasks with precision and detail.

The position demands confidence, pro-activity and a passionate approach to sales. You’ll be given the autonomy to be innovative and develop different corporate packages, both for memberships or company away days.

ABOUT US

Ministry of Sound opened in 1991 in a disused bus garage in a forgotten corner of South London. It was the first nightclub in the UK to have a 24-hour licence, didn’t serve alcohol and featured an earth-shaking sound system in a specially constructed dance box.

We went on to become the world’s largest independent record company, now with Sony, and stage giant dance events, including one for over 50,000 people at the O2 during the millennium.

We were pioneers in electronic music and still have a history of taking risks, innovation, and colourful and creative marketing.

Thirty years later we opened The Ministry, a workspace run as a member’s club, in a 50,000 sq. ft Victorian warehouse in SE1.

The design is relaxed but functional with a bar, opening windows, an outside courtyard and plenty of space to sit, relax, work and socialise – everything you wouldn’t expect to find in a standard office.

There’s great home-cooked F&B, a state-of-the-art gym and fitness studio with daily classes, together with a cultural and business events programme.

As a business, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and like to laugh and have fun, but we have high standards, relentless attention to detail and the continuous improvement of our product, and we work hard as a team.

We hate cliché, doing things the way others do and continuously seek to differentiate our brands and products almost as a point of pride.
