Ministry of Sound was born in September 1991. Its founders had returned from a life-changing visit to the Paradise Garage in New York emboldened to take a leap of faith – gambling that a beaten-up, derelict old bus garage in an unloved part of London would make the perfect home for the wild energy of club culture. It was a bet that paid off: Within ten years, Ministry of Sound was genuinely iconic. As its cultural footprint has continued to grow, so has our reputation for hosting extraordinary events – and only partly because of our legendary nightclub.
The legacy of over 30 years of event experience is Ministry Venues, which offers for private hire a diverse fleet of three exceptional premises in the greatest city on Earth. Ministry of Sound was followed by our private members’ club and contemporary workspace The Ministry in 2018. The Ministry is a vibrant, dynamic space that fosters creativity and collaboration, embodying the same pioneering spirit that has defined Ministry of Sound from the beginning.
